I am a Further Education Lecturer, specialising in IT. I am interested in basic skills teaching, especially literacy and numeracy as well as computer skills. My writing interests are basic skills in computing, and security issues. I also have an interest in producing articles about my local area's history and heritage.
I am based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, and have lived all my life in Yorkshire. I founded the Yorksgen (Yorkshire Genealogy) internet mailing list in 1996. Together with my husband, John, I founded the UKGenealogy website.
I am married, with one daughter and a beautiful tabby cat called Matilda - her kennel name is Tilly.
